Do something!

If you're going to do something nice for someone, do it because you want to, not because it's the "IN" thing to do, or you expect something in return. THAT only leads to bitterness and disappointment.... ~~LaNi~~

Frustrated

Just curious if I am the only person in this world, that is totally frustrated by how fast it's moving??? I remember when I was in kindergarten and it was such a FUN place to be...everyday seemed like a wonderous adventure. There seemed to be sooo much to learn and explore and learning wasn't a chore...it was actually fun! THEN...Now, there is such a push for children to know EVERYTHING as soon as they leave the womb! No wonder they grow up SOOO fast...My 5 year old Jada, started kindergarten this year and she hates it! Kindergarten is noooo longer a fun place to go and learn, it is a place where a child has to learn everything from, knowing how to read to learning how to do math! What happened to the days when kindergarten was all about learning basic things, like, your colors, staying inbetween the lines, story time, painting, playing, and just making friends through socialization???? Jada has homework EVERY night! It takes at least 2 hours to finish it, because she gets sooo frustrated and starts crying...I am sitting right beside her, joining her! It is a total nightmare! If this is just the beginning of the school year, I can only IMAGINE how much worse it will become later on this year...I dread it! Does anyone have any ideas on how to cope with this and make learning fun anymore???? Any suggestions would be appreciated...~~Lani~~

Eternity....

Why does death seem eternal?

It hurts the ones that are left behind.

But we each must go through it, in order to find...

A place that is glorious and hard to behold,

it's too indescribable, or so I've been told.

A place like no other, a place full of joy,

a place where sickness can hurt you no more...

A place where evil no longer exist.

Instead it's a place full of laughter and love that one cannot resist.

A Father, that is tender, full of compassion and care,

He promises that we will not shed even a tear there.

For if we do, He will wipe them one by one,

the gentle hand of His touch,

it's God's precious Son...

So do not despair, and know that this is not the end...

it's merely a see you later, until we meet again,

my family, my friend....

Thoughts....

How do you capture the moment and make it last?

When everything life has to offer passes you by fast?

We are not promised tomorrow or even the rest of the day,

but with God's grace, He will always make a way.

There are angels all around, if you take the time to see,

that you're never alone as you thought you might be....
